A CIMPA research school on Algebra, Arithmetic and Applications. This is the title of the school that was opened this morning at the Institute of Mathematics and Physical Sciences of Dangbo by the Rector of the University of Abomey-Calavi, Prof. Félicien AVLESSI.
In his speech, the Rector welcomed the participants, congratulated the organizing staff ((represented by Prof. Alain TOGBE) and positively appreciated the scientific content of the school whose themes, according to him, are "very federative around the issues of security on networks.
Wishing that this second edition of the research school CIMPA bears much fruit like the previous organized in 2014, the Rector said: "The University of Abomey-Calavi hopes a redyamization of south-south and south-north collaborations in the field of mathematical research in algebra, arithmetic and their various applications in everyday life. I would like to express the wish that the Institute of Mathematics and Physical Sciences can strengthen the existing cooperative relationships and establish new ones with the universities that participate in this training in order to promote the exchange of researchers and students.
It represents two weeks of intensive courses in mathematics for young researchers from Congo, Gabon, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ghana, Senegal, Algeria and Benin. The goal is to help them acquire new concepts and to invest in research in Mathematics.
Moreover, the objective of CIMPA (International Center for Pure and Applied Mathematics) is to develop mathematics in all underdeveloped countries and in the world. This is also in line with the vision of the African Center of Excellence in Mathematical Sciences, Computer Science and Applications (CEA-SMIA) and explains its support to this school which will close its doors on June 24, 2022.
